IHC

Immunohistochemistry utilizes antibodies to stain for specific elements within an individual cell. This technique is an extremely useful diagnostic aid in determining the origin of tumors and is also used in some instances to evaluate the prognosis. This is particularly true in cancers of the breast.

Our pathology group also includes a molecular biologist to aid in evaluation and interpretation of this special technique.
